"Random Ramblings"

Random Ramblings is my own blog about anything that is on my mind, be it music, books, computers, friends or even me. My real first name is Cody and the coder junkie comes from a nick name I was given some years back by a close friend – I was so into programming that it actually seemed like I was addicted to it at the time – and indeed I may have been. Though probably not true now, I still like the name. In fact as a child I was often called ‘code man’. But all this, especially the coderjunkie nick name, is the reason for the website domain name CoderJunkie. The blog name – Random Ramblings – pretty much explains its entire purpose: to express anything and everything on my mind.

I admit that my domain and indeed most of the posts on my blog are not even related to the fact I love computers and programming. This is one of the reasons why as of late, I am trying to add more. (another reason: I’m trying to do more productive things – something I fail at too often) This includes writing more for my non computer pages, but I’ve also been thinking and working on some computer stuff. I do have some computer posts here (including my hacks to Windows Vista’s cd/dvd/bd burning feature), as you can see in the categories list, but it’s not nearly as much as other things. I hope in time to have it more balanced. I was thinking about splitting my blog into two blogs, but I’m not sure yet – so for now, I’m reorganizing things and trying to make it more easy to find what you’re after.

After all, I do ramble a lot – not always here, but I do ramble a lot in general. And we’re all different, and all interested in different things. So, this is why I am trying to make it easier to navigate and filter out what you aren’t interested in.
